Forgot to wash my fabric first...

Looking for some input into whether I should wash my completed top of quilt and bottom fabric before I hand-quilt the quilt...I was so excited to get the pieces cut & marked that I neglected to wash the material first. Please give me your thoughts. Many thanks. Mary
